Mary Gale an Occupational Therapist developed the Bambach Saddle Seat following her work with children at Riding for the Disabled in Australia; observing that once in the saddle, many children confined to a wheelchair, learnt to sit upright and unsupported, developing balance and core strength. Mary replicated this position to enable children to ‘sit in the saddle’ when performing everyday tasks and the Bambach Saddle Seat was borne. Case studies are available. Bambach have pledged to donate £5 for every Bambach Saddle Seat sold into the UK special needs market and have already signed up to join RDA at the RDA National Championships where you will be able to try out the Bambach Saddle Seat.

As the UK’s leading online pharmacy service, bestpet endeavours to keep our pets healthy for less. Raising funds to directly finance the RDA Coach development programme, bestpet will donate 5% of all income generated, when ordering goods online using the promotional code RDA2. The continuing development of new and existing RDA Coaches, building on already high standards, is a priority for RDA. Along with very welcome financial support bestpet have offered RDA the use of their equipped conference training facilities at their head office in East Lothian.
Blythe Liggins prides itself in providing prompt, reliable and cost effective advice to both business and individual clients in a friendly and professional manner. As a supporter of RDA, Blythe Liggins make a substantial annual donation in place of printing and posting Christmas cards.
For almost 60 years Breyer has dedicated itself to creating beautiful and authentic horses and stands alone as the world's largest marketer of equine models and accessories. Breyer provides annual sponsorship for the Horse Care and Knowledge Class at the RDA National Championships and exhibits within the Sponsors Village. In addition, RDA and Breyer work together on a number of innovative initiatives each year. In 2009 Breyer supported the competition to find the RDA's 40th Anniversary Horse and the winner, Strikey, has been created and produced as a model within the Breyer range. Strikey is available for purchase, with £4 from each sale donated to RDA.
Recommended by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), Class Telecommunications provides free 0845 numbers to over 500 Member Groups, 70+ County Chairmen and our 18 Regional Chairmen. This allows our volunteers to change at will, but we can always maintain contact as the 0845 number can be easily moved to the next incumbent thereby keeping in contact with the correct person.
Countrywide is the leading UK business in the supply of products to the rural community and businesses include Agriculture, Energy and Retail trading throughout the UK, with products avaialble through sales specialists, direct sales team, country stores and on-line. Coountrywide is RDA's 40th Anniversary sponsor and over the course of the year has sponsored events such as the Worlds Biggest Riding Lesson and the National Championships. They are encouraging Countrywide employees to "get involved" by volunteering at Groups during March 2010 and their own fundraising events also include a golf day, Countrywide on the Run, auction and in-store collections.
Leading equestrian retailer, Derby House caters to all sections of the horse riding community from pony club to show jumping, showing to dressage. As one of the RDA’s most loyal sponsors, Derby House has provided generous support for the Countryside Challenge at the annual RDA National Championships for a number of years. Derby House also provides sponsorship for the annual RDA Photographic Competition.
For over 30 years Fort Dodge Animal Health, manufacturer and distributor of animal health care products, has provided free vaccinations to protect RDA horses and ponies against Equine Influenza and Tetanus right across the UK, in addition, they sponsor the RDA Equine Welfare Officer, further supporting our equine welfare policy.
The Freemasons’ Grand Charity has awarded RDA a grant of £25,000 towards its Volunteer Development Programme. This grant will allow RDA to support Groups to recruit volunteers, and will also provide volunteer management training to aid retention of volunteers, thus increasing the number of people RDA can reach through its services.
Goldcrest Cleaning provides professional commercial contract cleaning services through the Midlands. Based in Warwick Goldcrest Cleaning has appointed RDA as their chosen charity with a pledge to donate £20 for each new contract secured. In addition they aim to work with RDA to forge stronger links within the local community and Managing Director Tim Pearson will be a willing volunteer at the RDA National Championships in July.
Since 2002 Hartpury College, provider of equine, land-based, sports courses, has hosted the RDA National Championships. Each year they go out of their way to make us most welcome as well as helping to keep our event costs down. In addition, Hartpury College host the Maisemore RDA Group.
Intervet UK Ltd, part of Schering-Plough, is a leading animal health company which is dedicated to the research and development of high quality, innovative equine health products including vaccines and wormers (Panacur, Vectin and Pyratape P). In support of RDA’s equine welfare policy Intervet has provided free vaccines to protect the organisation’s horses and ponies against equine influenza and tetanus for over 30 years.
In The Saddle Country Clothing offers a range of practical, durable Puffa clothing for your outdoor lifestyle and has supported to the RDA Volunteer of the Year Awards for a number of years by providing shopping vouchers for winning finalists. In 2007 the John Lewis Partnership awarded RDA a generous grant, in support of the launch and promotion the junior RDA Friends Scheme, Frolic’s Friends. The grant covers the cost of printing promotional literature, the production and circulation of the first four newsletters and the set up and initial management of the membership register.
As a supporter of RDA, Mitsubishi Cars has sponsored a number of initiatives, including a very successful raffle in 2006 which resulted in around 80,000 tickets sold. Each year Mitsubishi Cars also provide vehicles for the RDA National Championships in Hartpury, contributing to the smooth running of the event.
The Petplan Equine National Riding Festival offer RDA subsidised rates for the hire of Trigger, the mechanical Horse. Trigger never fails to attraction attention at events, such as the Badmington Horse Trials, and provides RDA with an opportunity to raise much needed funds.

As the UK's largest equestrian mail order provider for over 20 years, Robinsons Country Leisure is the sponsor of the Dudley-Smith Award, which recognises the important contribution to Carriage Driving at a Group, County, Regional or National level, the winning volunteer being judged to have gone beyond what might normally be expected.

Through a CRM donation from the Salesforce.com Foundation, RDA now has an extensive database which helps to improve RDA communications with Regions, Counties, Groups and individuals and support training in its use.
As a loyal supporter of RDA, Sportsmark by Signam, generously provide a multitude of dressage and event equipment each year for the RDA National Championships.
As one of the very oldest City of London Livery companies, The Saddlers' Company is proud of its heritage and to this day remains a 'working' company. Each year RDA receives a sizeable grant to support its work at a national level, a saddle, which is awarded to a nominated group each year and the opportunity to use Saddlers Hall in London.
On an annual basis The Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights, a London based Livery company support the Souther Carriage Driving Show, sponsoring rosettes and trophies for the event.
A preferred supplier of RDA branded leisure and outdoor wear, Wainwright Screenprint make a donation to RDA based on a percentage of the income generated from sales of garments to RDA Groups. For many years Wainwright Screenprint has also supported the National Championships.
In partnership with their commercial and corporate clients, Willis & Company work to meet all insurance, financial planning and risk management needs. In support of RDA Willis & Company make an annual dontation to core funding.
