Friends Membership Scheme

We are pleased to announce that an RDA Friends Membership scheme has been introduced.

The main aim of this scheme is to provide more effective support for the work of RDA at both national and local level. The scheme has three key objectives:

  • to promote greater awareness of RDA’s mission and activities
  • to encourage a sense of belonging to a dynamic national organisation
  • to establish a direct channel of communication with our supporters, enabling more rapid, effective dissemination of information and making it easier for an individual’s point of view to reach National Office

There are two main categories of membership:
  • Friends Membership will help us to establish a closer contact between National Office and our many committed supporters. It is a way of demonstrating commitment to the ideals and activities of RDA. Friends will be asked to pay an annual subscription of £17.50.
  • Frolic’s Friends will offer young people the chance to learn more about what we do and to share their experiences of RDA whether they are a rider, driver, volunteer or friend. Frolic’s Friends was devised from the enthusiasm and interest that was shown towards the series of competitions that we ran at the Badminton Horse Trials in 2006. The annual subscription is £11.

In addition, there is an Associate Friendship category for those who are most closely involved with RDA, either within a specific group or on a National level. This will help us build and maintain an accurate database. Associate Friends do not have to pay a subscription.

By becoming a ‘Friend’ you will receive regular newsletters, and we shall also endeavour to develop a website for RDA Friends. Where possible email will be used to distribute information.
