Fantastic Result for RDA Centre in Sports Club of the Year Award

The Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders was Runner-up in CCPR’s Sports Club of the Year Awards in London last night. The award, which is worth £3,000, recognises the amazing work that the Centre, in Carshalton, Surrey, does within the local community.

The Diamond Centre is RDA’s biggest centre in the country, enabling over 360 people with disabilities to ride, carriage drive or vault each week. With 370 volunteers the centre also covers a huge range of abilities from beginners to Paralympic medal winners.

RDA Chief Executive said, “We are extremely proud of what Diamond have achieved with this award. It is a great affirmation of the amazing work that the Centre’s volunteers do and the contribution that they make. I am pleased that it also demonstrates the value that an RDA Centre can bring to its community”.

Steve Axon, Diamond Centre Chairman said “We are very pleased and excited to win this award, which come on the back of our success in getting a Queens Award for volunteering last year. We are lucky to have a great team at Diamond and this award proves how much we deliver.”
