Need Help Logging In?
This guide will help you to understand the logging in procedure. The sections are:

Steps
There are three steps to create a username. These are:
  • Step 1 - Log-in Information
  • Step 2 - Confirmation
  • Step 3 - Personal Details

Step 1 - Log-in information
To complete this first step you need to choose a username, a password and a secret question and answer.

Your username must be unique. It can be any combination of letters and numbers but they should be memorable to you. A username such as "Paul" or "JohnSmith" would be quite common and it is probably already taken. We suggest that you try to be a little creative and use a nickname or your name followed by your date of birth. It is not recommended to use a space in your username.

Your password can be any length and any combination of letters and numbers. Your password should be memorable to you and kept private. RDA will never ask you for your password. If at anytime you forget your password you should Contact Us. We will ask you for a few details to confirm your identity. You can also change your password when logged in by going to the 'Change Password ' form.

Your E-mail address must be valid. You will be given the option later in the process to either accept or decline regular e-mail updates.

Your secret question and answer should comprise of a question of your choosing and the secret answer. Try to choose a question with an answer that only you know. If you ever need to contact head office about your on-line account then you may be asked your secret question and you must reply with the correct answer.

Finally you can click 'Create User' to move on to Step 2

Step 2 - Confirmation
This stage simply confirms that the details you entered previously are valid and have been accepted. To continue to step 3 simple click 'Continue'. If you do not continue to step 3 you will not be granted access to the members area and the next time you log in you will be asked to continue on to step 3.

Step 3 - Personal Details
This section is fairly self explanatory. Most of these fields are required. Those that aren't required are the second and third address line and the alternative phone number. At the end of this for is a checkbox asking if you would like to receive e-mail updates. If you tick the box then whenever a e-mail bulletin is sent round, you will also receive it. Note that you will receive an e-mail upon registration and submitting a volunteer enquiry regardless of your choice here as these contain information which you may wish to store.

You can edit your details at any time by going to the 'My Details' section in the members area.

When You have entered all your details you can click 'Continue'. Depending on how you reached the page you will either be re-directed to the resource you originally requested or your membership will be confirmed. In either case you can now continue to use the site as a member.

Already a User?
If you are already a user then you can log in by navigating to the login screen, by entering your username and password in the form found underneath the navigation bar on each page or by selecting 'Login' found in the top right hand corner of every page. You will also arrive at the login page if you try to access a protected resource without being logged in. If this is the case then simply enter your username and password and you will be re-directed to the resource you originally requested.

However, if you wish to log out manually for any reason then you can do this by selecting 'Logout' found in the top right hand corner of everypage or the same option found under the navigation bar on every page.
